Paint the Park Rainbow – Pride Picnic in the Park

June 4 @ 12:00 pm AEST

Bilo Rainbow Pride (Bilo Rainbow), is a new organisation formed by LGBTQIA+ residents
in the Central Queensland town of Biloela.

On the 4th of June from 12pm they will be hosting ‘Pride Picnic in the Park’.

Their first project as the newly forming Bilo Rainbow.

This is a very exciting event for the community as it will also be the first Pride event in Biloela’s history.

‘Pride Picnic in the Park’ is an afternoon event with a relaxed family friendly atmosphere
complete with live entertainment including music, drag, comedy, and market stalls.

Many of the entertainers are Biloela and surrounds locals, however some former residents will
be returning in support of this event.

“This is an important step for the LGBTQIA+ community in Biloela, who often report
feeling isolated.

We aim for this event to aid in deepening community connection, create a
safe place for LGBTQIA+ people, especially the youth, and promote acceptance &
understanding in our community” says Gen Dippel, Founder and President.

As an organisation their goal is to support the LGBTQIA+ community in the Banana Shire,
and well into the future.

‘Pride Picnic in the Park’ is the first step towards this vision and
an acknowledgement of just how far this little town has come!

You can find out more on their Facebook page and RSVP to the event at
