LGBTQIA+ DV Awareness Day Community Pop-up
May 27 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm AEST
28 May is LGBTI Domestic Violence Awareness Day. The day aims to raise awareness of Domestic Violence (DV) in LGBTIQ+ communities, remember LGBTIQ+ victims of DV who have lost their lives, recognise LGBTIQ+ survivors and acknowledge the struggles of those LGBTIQ+ people who may currently be in an abusive relationship.
On 27th May join us to mark this important day by attending our LGBTQIA+ DV Awareness Day Community Pop-up at our Hope on Boundary Café.
Join us for a free brioche Fairy Bread and a rainbow hot chocolate to make this important day.
When you pop in, you can have a chat to our staff and members of Queensland Police Domestic Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit as well experts from Diverse Voices, LGBTI Legal Service, Open Doors and Queensland Council for LGBTI Health.
Learn more or come and share your own knowledge. We look forward to seeing you there!
